Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Jingles (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. Jingles is operated by jhicarus.com (“Jingles,” “we,” or “us”).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that your registration information is accurate and current.

The Service may not be available in all jurisdictions, and we reserve the right to refuse service where prohibited by local law.

3. Account & Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@jhicarus.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Harass, threaten, dox, or send abusive content to other users.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited commercial messages, scams, or solicitations.
  • Scrape, crawl, or extract user data via automated means without written permission.
  • Attempt to disable, bypass, or circumvent any safety, AI moderation, or rate-limiting feature.
  • Upload content that is illegal, infringes intellectual property, contains malware, or violates third-party rights.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. The Jingle Shield AI moderation system may flag and act on content automatically.

5. AI Features & Limitations

Jingles uses artificial intelligence for several features — the Jingle Shield safety analyzer, the personal Coach surface, the shared conversation Mediator, and Match Explanations. These AI features:

  • Are not therapy, medical advice, or legal advice. They are conversation aids only.
  • Can produce inaccurate, biased, or contextually-wrong output. Treat AI suggestions as one input among many — never as ground truth about your partner's intent, character, or honesty.
  • Send relevant message text and profile context to third-party AI providers (e.g., Anthropic) for processing. See our Privacy Policy for details.
  • Apply automated content moderation. You agree that AI may flag, soft -warn, or surface educational content based on your messages.

6. User Content & License

You retain ownership of the content you submit (profile, photos, messages). By submitting content, you grant Jingles a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, transmit, process, and display that content as necessary to operate the Service. We do not sell your content to third parties.

You represent that you have the rights to any content you upload, and that it does not violate the rights of any third party.

7. Subscriptions & Payments

Most of Jingles is free to use. Some features may be offered on a subscription basis in the future. When paid features launch, this section will include billing terms, cancellation rights, and refund policy. Continued use of paid features after pricing changes constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Cancel My Account. Deletion is permanent and removes your profile, matches, messages, coach history, and other data subject to GDPR record-keeping exceptions.

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, legal obligations, or risk to other users. Where lawful, we will provide notice and an opportunity to appeal.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jingles disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Jingles be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations on liability, so the above limitations may not apply to you in their entirety.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Jingles is incorporated, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Disputes will first be attempted to be resolved informally by writing to hello@jhicarus.com. If informal resolution fails, disputes will proceed in a court of competent jurisdiction.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be surfaced in the app and/or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
